Deal serves on the Board of Trustees at the Denver Foundation, where she is a member of the Executive Committee and past chair of its Leadership &amp; Equity committee, whose purpose is to advance racial equity by acknowledging and dismantling the historical, systemic and societal context of privilege and oppression. Deal is also a long-time community volunteer and alumna of Denver\u2019s Circle of Latina Leadership, as well as a founding member of Denver\u2019s first Latina women\u2019s giving circle, LatinasGive! Bozhena Zakaliuzhna is one of ten ArtsLink Fellows who are participating in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cecartslink.org\/grants\/artslink_residencies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CEC ArtsLink\u2019s 2018 residency program<\/a><\/span>. Zakaliuzhna will reside in downtown Denver during her residency and will connect with various friends of WESTAF throughout the city and region. Her residency will include meetings and short-term, hands-on learning opportunities with the Denver Art Museum, Denver Botanic Gardens, RedLine Contemporary Art Center, Levitt Pavilion and the ArtGym, among others.
