DENVER, CO\u2014<\/span>The Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF) is thrilled to welcome two new team members to its Social Responsibility and Inclusion (SRI) division: Ashanti McGee, grants and access manager, and Jade Elyssa Cariaga, grants and equity manager. With more than a decade of experience in the field, McGee is both an artist and arts advocate who began her arts administrative work assisting local grassroots and nonprofits with grant writing and management. She most recently served as a district representative for Nevada Congresswoman Susie Lee, focusing on outreach for Black, Native American, and LGBTQ+ communities around arts and culture and environment and public lands. Cariaga began their career in 2015 as director of Cesar Chavez Middle School color guard, where they worked with Title I students to achieve regionally-unprecedented levels of success. They earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in dance from the department of World Arts and Cultures\/Dance at UCLA, where they were endorsed to be an undergraduate affiliate of the American Educational Research Association and were one of two people in their college’s graduating class to receive the Chancellor\u2019s Service Award.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Depuis de nombreuses ann\u00e9es, WESTAF a creus\u00e9 des puits en faveur de la diversit\u00e9, de l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 et de l\u2019inclusion dans toute la r\u00e9gion occidentale \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Anika Ten\u00e9, directrice de la responsabilit\u00e9 sociale et de l\u2019inclusion. \u00ab Notre intention est d\u2019approfondir cet engagement en mettant l\u2019accent sur l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 culturelle, la justice sociale et la lutte contre le racisme syst\u00e9mique par le biais de services aux groupes sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s au sein du secteur. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Les nouveaux gestionnaires ISR travailleront ensemble pour que les croisements entre l\u2019acc\u00e8s et l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 soient abord\u00e9s plus en profondeur. Les deux postes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7us pour collaborer intentionnellement sur des programmes de subventions ax\u00e9s sur l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 et pour cr\u00e9er de puissants portefeuilles dans les domaines de l\u2019acc\u00e8s et de l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9. \u00ab C\u2019est une p\u00e9riode passionnante \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Ten\u00e9. \u00ab Nos nouveaux gestionnaires apportent une richesse d\u2019exp\u00e9rience et de passion \u00e0 ces r\u00f4les. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

La division ISR de WESTAF donne la priorit\u00e9 aux travaux qui ont un impact positif sur les communaut\u00e9s suivantes, entre autres :\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
