Your Tradition, Your Story: Living Traditions Grant Accepting Applications

November 10, 2025

Applications are now open for the Living Traditions: Folk Art and Beyond Grant! This grant program celebrates and invests in the cultural practices and creative expressions that connect communities across the Creative West region.

Living traditions are cultural practices rooted in community life—passed down through generations, adapted over time and continually reimagined to meet the needs of the present. They encompass a wide range of expressions, including folk and traditional arts, craft, music, dance, foodways, oral traditions, storytelling, spiritual practices and the everyday creative expressions that embody identity, belonging and resilience.

This grant supports projects that honor, share and transmit these traditions in ways that strengthen community bonds, foster intergenerational connection and expand access to cultural expression.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until June 30, 2026 or until all available funds have been awarded. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the living traditions that inspire and sustain your community.
